In the village of Sare, 12 km from Saint Jean de Luz and the beaches, this former hospice on the Way of Saint James is made up of three 16th century houses in typical Basque style. Wooden staircases lead to refined rooms revealing décor under beams and with 18th and 19th century furniture enhanced by wonderful patina. Some rooms overlook the beautiful garden; the most spacious overlook the village square. From the restaurant's terrace, too, you can enjoy this view over ravioli de xangurro on crab, pastiza on cherry jam and other regional delicacies.
